The Bee Vlley Idice is a project that speaks to us of biodiversity, ecology, territory. It is the symbol of many municipalities that offer lands and an ideal environment for the proliferation of bees, a lung of genuineness that looks to the future of the planet.
The fantastic world of bees
The Idice valley in the Bolognese Apennines has a particularly healthy environment with an almost totally organic agriculture.
Given its great variability both from a geological and botanical point of view, it offers many possibilities to the Apoidea (this is the name of the superfamily of bees), of reproduction and nesting. In these favorable conditions the bees live well and their biodiversity is rich, hence the project to establish the “Bee Valley Idice” a territory for the protection of biodiversity and the increase of the Apoidea populations.
So if you want to spend a day of true natural well-being, this is certainly a friendly destination for the greenery and the Apennine flora and fauna.

Discovering CONAPI Soc. Coop. Agricultural
In the municipality of Monterenzio which is also the seat of CONAPI Soc. Coop. The largest consortium of beekeepers in Italy, the Bee Valley Idice project was born. The proposal was enthusiastically welcomed by the municipalities: Monghidoro, Ozzano Emilia, San Lazzaro di Savena, Pianoro and Loiano, joined by CONAPI, the Department of Agri-food Sciences and Technologies (DiSTAL), the Department of Biological, Geological Sciences and Environmental (BIGeA) of the University of Bologna to collaborate and give scientific support and the Management Body for Parks and Biodiversity - Eastern Emilia.
